Disability Championships are coming to Bromley

Kent Cricket Community Team and The Lord’s Taverners are pleased to announce that the Disability Championships are coming to Bromley Borough.

The Lord’sTaverners Disability Cricket Championships(LTDCC), in partnership with the Berkeley Foundation, is a year-round cricket programme for young people aged 14-25 with a limiting disability. LTDCC provides access to  (CCBs) of Essex, Kent, Middlesex and Surrey.

Weekly sessions will be held in the sports hall at The County Ground, Beckenham, Worsley Bridge Road, BR3 1RL on Fridays (termtimes) beginning on Friday 11th November 2016 between 4:30pm-6pm.

The sessions are free for 14-25 year olds, however all ages are welcome to attend and enjoy some cricket (there may be a nominal fee for those outside the age range).

The sessions have been running in Bexley for some time now with great success and the team recently attended The Home of Cricket, Lord’s, where they competed in Finals Day.

We are also looking for 2 volunteers to assist at the weekly sessions.  Any age (14+) are welcome however this may be of specific interest to those undertaking the Young Leaders or DofE awards.
