BDC coaches at Lords for C2S Day


BDC Coaches at Lords

3 of Bromley District Cricket’s coaches travelled to Lords on Tuesday 20th May. Cliff Hayward, John Huntley andAndrew Mew joined 600 Schoolchildren from around the UK joined Chris Tremlett and Charlotte Edwards at Lord's for the second Chance to Shine - Spirit of Cricket open day.

The primary school kids enjoyed a the chance to play on the outfield at the Home of Cricket, as well as taking part in kitchen classes and cricket skills lessions

Lord's was transformed for the day for the 20 schools present, with the real tennis court used for tapeball cricket and the Pavilion concourse - usually the preserve of MCC Members - transformed to a school assembly hall.

Mark Nicholas delivered a special MCC Spirit of Cricket Assembly, with Edwards's team beating Tremlett's in a bowl off on the outfield. MCC President Mike Gatting was also present.
